Garvanza Elementary Technology and Leadership Magnet is a California Distinguished School for students from preschool (UTK) to 5th grade.

Garvanza Elementary Technology and Leadership Magnet's mission is to empower leaders by educating hearts and minds.  As a magnet and a pilot school, we are dedicated to a culture of shared leadership from all stakeholders. We believe everyone can be a leader. Our educators empower students to lead their own learning through engaging in collaborative learning experiences that leverage digital resources that enable our students to be innovative designers and creative communicators. Students find their voice at Garvanza by having active student leadership roles, cultivate their passions by participating in student created and led clubs, and develop their strengths as 21st Century leaders and learners through hands-on learning activities in our Innovation Lab.  We are committed to developing the whole child by providing opportunities that nurture all facets of our students' emotional, social and academic development.  All students participate in dance, art, library, and attend outdoor classes with our Garden Ranger in our organic, edible, garden.  Students in grades 3 - 5 participate in music.
